The lovely Ruth asked for an extra large yoga mat bag and a matching meditation cushion — and she had a very clear vision for them.

She really wanted her initial embroidered on both the bag and the cushion. We both knew it might get a little lost in the beautiful, busy psychedelic fabric… but she absolutely had to have it.

And honestly… that’s what makes custom pieces so special. They’re personal.

Lovingly embroidered, hidden amongst the colours and patterns, is the letter R – just for Ruth. 🩶

If I’m being honest, chocolate brown fabric with gold thread isn’t something I would have naturally chosen… but wow, it works beautifully together. The rich brown paired with the gold embroidery feels so warm and elegant.

And those finishing touches… the gold zip and the sweet little gold tassel just bring everything together perfectly 💛

About 4 weeks ago, I made my very first pastel owl backpack — and it sold the very next day! 🦉💛 It was bought by a lovely man who told me he was surprising his wife with it for Christmas (how sweet is that? 🎁💫).

I never even got the chance to photograph that one before it flew off to its new home — so I just had to make another!

This new version is handmade with love in soft pastel shades and features the most gorgeous embroidered owl on the flap. It’s waterproof too — perfect for adventures, yoga sessions, or just brightening up everyday life. 🌈🩵

2️⃣ Always, always remember to leave an opening for “bagging out” – future you will thank you!

3️⃣ Don’t panic when you’re actually “bagging out” – it’s meant to look like fabric origami gone wrong before it looks fabulous.

4️⃣ And if all else fails… coffee, cake and maybe a cocktail are the ultimate stitch-fixer ☕🧵 🍹 🍰
